Peter Melling is a dedicated Australian educator, a teacher at Lambton High School, and the proactive Treasurer and a key committee member for the Hunter Innovation and Science Hub (HISH).
With a Master's degree in IT and a background in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, Peter specializes in driving STEM education and fostering a culture of sustainability in schools and the wider community. He has directly engaged over 10,000 local students and community members through impactful initiatives, including presenting at events like Maker Con on the importance of re-connecting the maker community to nature and achieving a "Net Zero" culture.

Peter works closely with and is mentored by Emeritus Professor Tim Roberts AM. As both a grant writing specialist and an AI consultant, his expertise ensures HISH's financial health and strategic technological integration, helping the Hub deliver innovative, forward-thinking science programs across the Hunter region
