Newcastle Academy of STEM Excellence
The STEM Industry Schools Partnership (SISP) program, through the Department of Education’s STEM Enrichment Team, is a partnership between schools, industry, business, government, universities, the vocational education sector, and other key stakeholders. Its primary aim is to improve teacher confidence and capacity to deliver integrated and cross-curricula STEM educational programs and to increase student STEM ability, engagement, and aspiration towards STEM subjects and career pathways, primarily focused in rural, remote, and regional NSW schools.
The program advances equitable outcomes, opportunities and experiences which encourages STEM capabilities, therefore expanding career and post-school pathways. The program promotes equity, ensuring every student learns, grows, and feels a sense of belonging within an inclusive and high-quality education system.
