Engineers Australia

31/7/2025

Engineers Australia logo - represents our heritage and connection to the many disciplines of engineering our members work across. “The hexagon is the benzene ring of chemical engineering, the bolt head of mechanical, the mobile telephone cell, and is part of a honeycomb representing the strength of structural and aerospace engineering. The hexagon is divided by an arc or arch representing our heritage in civil engineering, as well as the sine wave of electrical and the trajectory of military engineering.”
Engineers Australia is the peak professional community for Australia's engineers
As Australia’s national body for engineering, we’re the voice and champion of our 130,000-plus members. Providing them with the resources, connections and growth they need to do ethical, competent and high-value work in our communities. It’s inspiring promising student engineers. Opening doors for graduates and setting them up for success. Enriching the skill sets of engineering professionals at every stage of their career, helping them learn, discover and fulfil their potential. With esteemed Chartered credentials offering recognition and prospects across the globe.
How does your group link to STEM?
STEM is an acronym for the academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering and maths. It's used extensively to refer to these four crucial disciplines which together, create and enable a modern society. Engineering itself is the practical application of the other three – science, technology and maths. We see the fostering of STEM skills in the younger generations as crucial for Australia’s ongoing economic success and for the development of our future workforce. Engineers Australia is committed to promoting STEM skills to school age children and teens.
